So much summer fun already!
We have officially reached that precarious position where school and other planned activities have ceased and we're left up to our own devices for time consumption and entertainment. SCARY! So far, we've been able to come up with a few activities, and I must say...they've been AWESOME!
We found a great new park that the kids are now completely obsessed with. Nathan loved showing off his inner monkey, and Abi was just so excited that she ran around the splash pad squealing.

Nathan LOVED using the big water gun... |
but he always weenied out whenever someone else hit him! |

Even Grammy had a little water fun! |
We ran into our neighbor, Theoria. Look at those bathing beauties! |
After the park, I showed my true colors as a big-spender and used the free ice cream cone coupons to Arctic Circle that we got from preschool. Check out their cone eating technique, very refined.
The little mooch finished her cone and started in on Grammy's. Of course Grammy let her...and thought it was funny. |
We've loved having zoo passes for the past few years and were so excited that the new Rocky Shores exhibit finally opened. I still think that the wildest things at the zoo are the kids. ;)
Nathan jumped right on when I asked him to pose with the polar bears... |
Abi was a little more reluctant. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that it looked like the bears had just peed. |
Nathan's T-Ball season started, and he was so excited...and nervous. Trying to remember from last year's season, he kept asking questions like, "After I hit the ball, I run to first base, right? Then second, then third, then home, right?" "When someone hits the ball, we all dive at it, right?" His first game went so well. Almost every hit went out to the grass (which for T-Ball is pretty rare), he knew where to run (which for T-Ball is also rare), he ran like the wind whenever the ball was hit (also a rarity), and most of his throws made it to home plate (you get the picture).

Check out that look of absolute concentration! |
So, our summer fun has begun. I just hope that we can keep up the momentum, because the thought of three more months is just a little...well...scary.
